Prior to joining C&F Bank, Jim worked with United Virginia Bank of Williamsburg (now SunTrust) for over 13 years acquiring knowledge in the dealer finance division and collection loan department while making consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans in the retail branch system. Jim left UVB/W to open the Williamsburg branch of Fort Eustis Federal Credit Union (now First Advantage Credit Union) where he worked for three years.

Jim’s decision to come to C&F Bank was based on his past experience with the bank, believing that the name Citizens and Farmers Bank was synonymous with great customer service. As a teenager many years before, he inquired about his first car loan at the West Point branch and remembers being asked, “Who’s your daddy, boy?” While that wouldn’t be acceptable now, in those days if the Bank had an idea that you would pay and knew something about you or your parents, they would take a chance on you.

Jim enjoys helping both commercial and consumer customers meet their financial goals. He has two children, a son and daughter, and three grandsons. Jim enjoys spending time with family, and hunts and fishes whenever possible.

William has over 20 years of experience in real estate finance and banking, working most recently for Fulton Bank as the City Executive and Senior Vice President of the Charlottesville market for the last 10 years.

William’s core business philosophy revolves around relationship banking, integrity and becoming a key advisor and asset for many of his new and long-term clients. He specializes in income-producing multi-family, CRE, OORE, Historic and LITC tax credit transactions as well as A&D and builder facilities for A-level clients.

A graduate of the University of Virginia and 25-year resident of Charlottesville, William is extremely active in the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital and Charlottesville Day School. He also formerly held a Series 7 & 63 financial license.

William and Mollie, his wife of 17 years, have two daughters, Sarah Frances and Ballard. In his free time, he is an avid golfer, bird hunter, and girls’ lacrosse coach for the last eight years and enjoys spending time with family, friends and clients.

A disabled veteran, he served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He has served on numerous local and state boards and is currently on the local Peninsula Builders Association Board of Directors as well as the Virginia State Builders Association Board of Directors.

Henry has been married to his lovely and patient wife Jill for 43 years. They reside in Williamsburg and have two daughters and four grandchildren. Henry’s hobbies include golf, hunting and sport clays.

Matt Ohlschlager is a Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for real estate banking in the Greater Richmond market. He focuses on banking relationships with residential homebuilders and developers, as well as multi-family and commercial investment property developers.

Previously Matt spent six years with C&F Bank in credit underwriting, special assets, and real estate banking roles before leaving in 2012 to work in land acquisition and financing for Main Street Homes, a C&F Bank client, and leading home builder and developer in Richmond. While at Main Street Homes, he focused on sourcing finished lot inventory for home building and raw land for development. Additionally he was responsible for assessing the capital structure on land deals working directly with banks to obtain debt financing and with private investors to raise equity. His other responsibilities included performing market feasibility studies, financial modeling, and economic due diligence on land acquisitions.

In March of 2014, Matt rejoined C&F Bank as a Senior Relationship Manager. With 13 years of combined banking and real estate experience, he holds an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Virginia, and an MBA in real estate from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Matt and his wife, Ashley, have two girls, Lily and Emma. He and his family reside in New Kent, Virginia and are active members at their church, where he recently served as chair of the finance committee and his wife directed the youth ministry. While not at work, he spends most of his time with family and friends, including attending Lily and Emma’s gymnastics and swim meets, in addition to fishing, boating, and golfing.

Her mantra is to provide solutions and efficiencies to business owners, enabling them to spend more time growing business and less time behind the scenes managing day-to-day operations. Lauren enjoys finding customized solutions and products that increase productivity and revenues.

Lauren attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she studied business administration and psychology. A native of Middlesex County, she is very active in her community, earning recognition as the 2014 Middlesex County Public Schools Navigator of the Year. In addition, she was the recipient of the 2013 C&F Gives Back Breakthrough Award for community service.

Lauren also volunteers for the following organizations: Middlesex Colts Youth Football & Cheerleading Organization, Middlesex High School Athletic Boosters Club, Middlesex High School Syd Thrift Athletic Complex Alumni Association, and St. Clare Walker Middle School and Middlesex High School Technology Student Associations.
